Bill Nash CEO of Uglassit has a history of product failures where he did not satisfy his customers. His first F he received from the BBB was with the fibershell coat that he claimed was a revolutionary product that was exclusive to Uglassit and had longevity of 10 to 15 years. I told the consumer if he was a contractor that he could buy the same product from the same national distributor and save 30 to 40%. That national distributor told Bill Nash, and previously me, not to offer any warranties. I called up the manufacture of this product, he told me doing a DIY outside and not factory controlled, that the product will not last. When a one piece, fiberglass drop in pool is built, the longevity depending on water chemistry should be 10 to 20 years. That second coat of vinyl ester resin as a do over with a chopper gun and sprayed on. It must be applied indoors and be factory controlled.
His second major failure was using a product called Fibrliner, where he received an F rating from the BBB once again. He told the customer to buy 2 coats of the Fibrliner and it would last 20 to 25 years before another coat was needed. That was a lie. It did not last for more than 1 or 2 years.
Fibrliner was introduced in January 1, 2013. Uglassit was given an F rating, as you see above, from the BBB in November 28, 2014. In 2 short years the BBB recognized the many phone calls from distressed customers that had product failures and he refused to fix them. There is a new and beautiful website out featuring the fibrliner coating. Evidently, the person that purchased that website did not know about the early failures that the fibrliner had. From what I understand this company is not offering fibrliner as a DIY. When I spoke to the person that I believed was the owner, he was very vague in offering a DIY. He is a contractor offering a 10 year warranty and I don’t believe he will be in business any longer than 4 or 5 years before his website will be taken down.
Remember this is his warranty, not yours, on a product that will not last more than 2 or 3 years. When his website comes down and he is out of business, you will have no recourse whatsoever.
